Building an International Normative Power: The Case of the European Students' Union.
My research deals with the Normative Power Europe Theory and the relationship between the European Students' Union (ESU) and the National Union of Israeli Students (NUIS) as a means to exemplify the European Higher Education related to cultural diffusion to the Israeli arena. In my research I will examine the European Students' Union as a constitutive body that has changed in accordance with the changes that the whole European Union has been through, namely becoming a supra-national international body, based on a defined set of principles that it wishes to disseminate worldwide. I then turn to understanding the power of the local citizen in the cultural diffusion process, namely Israeli governmental bodies that have the ability of "filtering" those principles into the local arena and making a change.
